The Trainee Program
The School of New England Ballet Theatre Trainee Program is a pre-professional program offering additional training and performance opportunities to promising young dancers. Students chosen from the School Auditions will be provided the experience necessary to dive deeper into their technical and artistic selves, while receiving personal attention in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The Trainee Program runs on Sundays during the school year. Advanced and Intermediate levels from 10:00am-3:00pm and the Beginner level from 10:00am-2:00pm. Those chosen for the Trainee Program can expect a demanding curriculum and several performance opportunities throughout the year.
Dancers must audition for the opportunity to participate in this program.
Students may attend the Trainee Open Audition for consideration in the program.
Students attending one of our SUMMER 2021 Dance Programs may choose to use the last day of their program as their audition to be a trainee. Information will be shared to dancers during their summer program.

Who is this for?

Trainees participate in ballet technique class, pointe, pas de deux and contemporary classes taught by The School of NEBT Faculty. In addition, Trainees rehearse and perform works set on them from the repertory of New England Ballet Theatre. Trainees also participate in workshops on pedagogy, choreography, and health & wellness.
Trainees perform during the school year in outreach performances throughout the community. They also understudy and dance in many New England Ballet Theatre full-length productions such as the holidy show, The Fantastic Toyshop and rotating spring repertoire.
