Classes & Programs
The School of New England Ballet Theatre believes ballet is for everyone.
Since 2020, NEBT has served the Greater Hartford Region with exceptional dance education, community outreach, and inspiring performances. The School of NEBT offers classes in Creative Movement, Early Ballet, Classical Ballet, Pointe, and Contemporary for ages 3 to adult. In addition, NEBT offers classes for beginners, a track for pre-professional ballet students, a program for young professionals, and several performing opportunities.
Our Introductory Program offers Mommy & Me, Creative Movement, and Early Ballet Classes for children ages 2-7 years old.
The Trainee Program offers supplemental classical ballet training and performance opportunities to dancers who receive training at other schools. Dancers train every Sunday from 10am-3pm.
For the serious young dancer, our Pre-Professional Program offers training in ballet technique starting at age 8, and continuing through high school, with a pre-professional dance curriculum for those students who may be interested in pursuing a career in dance. Emphasis is placed on learning classical ballet techniques while building strength and flexibility, confidence, musicality, and artistry.
Open classes are open to all students (ages 8-18) and include ballet, tap, jazz, pilates, and contemporary technique classes.
Adult classes are open to all adults; all levels welcome.
Can be taken on a drop-in basis.
