Bridges to Ballet is an inclusive dance program that offers children and adults with diverse needs the opportunity to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and experience a strong sense of community through movement. Rooted in the principles of adaptive and inclusive dance education, the program provides a nurturing environment where participants can grow artistically, socially, and physically.
What sets Bridges to Ballet apart is its integration of professional performance experience. Participants rehearse and perform alongside the New England Ballet Theatre company, gaining invaluable skills in teamwork, discipline, and artistic expression. This experience not only deepens their appreciation for the performing arts but also contributes meaningfully to personal growth and the cultural richness of the community.
The program consists of a six-week session held at our Avon studios, leading up to a full-stage performance as part of NEBT’s spring production. Each session begins with a ballet class tailored to the unique needs and abilities of the students, followed by rehearsals focused on learning the choreography for their performance.
Our Spring 2025 session will run on Saturday afternoons from April 26 through May 31, culminating in a live performance in NEBT’s production of La Sylphide on June 7–8.
NEBT is proud to offer Bridges to Ballet FREE of cost to all participants. To support this meaningful initiative- covering instructor salaries, costume and production expenses, and accommodations for students with disabilities- please consider making a donation by clicking the button below.
