Jacob Shoup

Jacob Shoup is a soloist with New England Ballet Theatre (NEBT), where he brings his passion for storytelling and movement to the stage full-time. He previously danced with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet, a company that allowed him to deeply connect his art with his faith. Jacob has also performed as a guest artist with Dimensional Dance in The Story of Ruth and with NEBT in The Myth and Madness of Edgar Allan Poe, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Long Black VeilA dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, Jacob loves sharing the joy of dance with students of all ages and backgrounds, specializing in Modern and Ballet. He earned his BA in Dance Pedagogy from Butler University, following two formative years at Interlochen Arts Academy. Originally from Ohio, his not-so-secret favorite state, Jacob is grateful for the love and support of his wonderful family. In 2024, he celebrated one of life’s greatest joys: marrying the love of his life, Hope Blackburn.
